Welcome LI Woman Readers!
I'm so glad you're here to learn some of my helpful communication tools. Think about using them before your next challenging or important conversation. Let's get started!

Tips for Becoming a Better, More Effective Communicator
-
Approach With Positive Intention: Before starting a significant conversation, make a conscious decision that you want to have a productive dialogue. Keep that intentional mindset throughout the conversation.
-
Be Open and Curious: Show genuine interest in their point of view. Remember, a conversation involves two people so make sure they feel heard too.
-
Pay Attention to Your Delivery: How you communicate matters because the way you speak to someone will always be their biggest takeaway from the interaction.
-
Set a Positive Tone: If you're concerned about a negative interaction or disagreement, let them know upfront that you want to have a positive conversation and you want to get along with them.
-
Avoid the Need to Win: Focusing on being right or “winning” can make the other person shut down. Instead, think about the importance of the relationship or having a productive interaction.
